How to Stop Jawbone and Facial Collapse

Facial collapse is a condition where the body begins dissolving the jaw bones to use the minerals in the body after all of a person’s teeth have been extracted. Changes in our faces occur naturally as we age. But when all of your teeth are missing changes are go faster by jawbone shrinkage that leads to facial collapse. After your teeth are all extracted, the jaws begin to shrink. Your body now considers the bone in the jaws to be useless and it takes those minerals for use elsewhere. Over a period of ten or twenty years you will end up with a condition called Facial Collapse. Facial collapse occurs when the jaw no longer supports any teeth. Those experiencing this problem may appear to have a shriveled face.
